Language & Creativity Centre
`MALVINA` Language & Creativity Centre is established in 2009 in order to offer a new different approach for more effective English language teaching to young learners, which arts and crafts integrated learning.
The idea of this synthesis is to intentionally provoke and develop children’s innate aesthetic sense towards world.
Thus happens in a relaxed home-like environment, where children freely realize their creative potential. Combining colours and shapes they develop their aesthetic sense and taste, which are so important. Folding, cutting out, sticking, assembling various elements and working with various materials develops the fine motor activity skills. In this case language awareness gets practical expression and acts as an additional stimulus for learning. The most comprehensive realization of our idea happens during English Art Studio summer programme.
During our yearly courses and summer programme alike children work in small groups up to 6, which provides individual approach and attention for each one of them.
In addition to the aesthetic principles of our work we respect pupils’ various kinds of intelligence and guide them to find out their own pace and way of learning.
English is taught through original educational materials published by Oxford University Press, Longman and other publishers.
Illiterating is taught through proved original English phonetic system. The process goes in a playful manner in which pupils learn that every letter can make a different sound and this makes them very special. By this means they start reading unfamiliar words.
Older students work with adapted graded readings and a separate grammar book.
You can learn a language in lots of different ways. Our goal is to find out which one is the best for you.
Visualising, reading, writing, studying grammar rules and the active communication are the stepping stones of our education.
We strive for creative and friendly atmosphere where students feel cosy and free to realize their own abilities.
